This morning the day I had been super excited for many months had arrived!

On Thursday December 19th 2013: My Europe Contiki journey that I had been planning and looking forward too began!

I flew out of Port Macquarie Airport with Qantas Airways at 9:30 am and arrived at Sydney Kingsford Smith International Airport at 10:40am.

I collected my luggage and had some lunch at the airport before clearing customs and border protection.

I then made my way to the Virgin Atlantic Desk and checked in my luggage all the way through to London.

I flew Economy Class with Virgin Atlantic Airways to London which departed Sydney at 3:45pm

Everyone started to board the plane at 3:00pm and i found my seat and settled in for takeoff.

We departed at 4:00pm and made our way to Hong Kong which was a stopover before continuing to London.

9 hours later we landed at Hong Kong International Airport.

We then made our way through security and were directed to our gate where we would depart for London.

2 hours after our stopover we boarded the plane and departed for London.

13 Hours later which felt like such a long time, we were notified we would be arriving at London shortly.

I arrived at London Heathrow International Airport at 6:30am on Friday December 20th 2013.

After landing at London Heathrow Airport I made my way to luggage collect and collected my luggage before clearing customs and border patrol.

This was such a surreal moment I had made it to London by myself a country on the other side of the world nearly 17,000 kilometres away!
