On Sunday 9th July 2023, I checked out of my room at 6:30 am and made my way down to the reception area of the hotel.

Once the airport shuttle arrived at 7am, everyone made their way onto the airport shuttle and we made our way towards Sydney International Airport after dropping passengers departing the domestic terminal.

Once arriving at Sydney International Airport I collected my luggage and made my way inside the terminal.

I chose to fly with United Airlines direct to San Fransisco before flying onwards to Dallas.

I then made my way towards the United Airlines desk and checked in my luggage to San Franscisco.

Once I received my boarding pass I made my through security checks and located my gate and relaxed before it was time to board.

I flew United Airlines UA0870 to San Fransisco with a flight time of 13 Hours 30 Minutes.

We began boarding at 9:15 am and departed at 10:25am.

I had a really peaceful flight and even managed to get some sleep something that I have always been unable to achieve while flying overseas.

Once we were ready to descend the cabin crew came around with breakfast at 6am, After finishing breakfast the cabin crew prepared us for landing.

We landed at San Fransisco Internatonial Airport at 7:15 am

I must say it is quite a experience leaving Sydney at 10am and arriving in America the same morning with the time zone difference.

Once disembarking in San Fransisco we collected our luggage and as I was transiting through San Fransisco through to Dallas i had to make my way through Customs and Border Control.

There was a long line and it took about an hour to get to the front of the queue.

My experience with Border Control was quite challenging and something I wasn’t prepared for.

Despite having all the relevant paper work the agent was quite demanding and quiet strong questioning my reasons for coming to America, especially around having a 3 week holiday where they only get 10 days of annual leave in America.

Eventually I got cleared and made my way through to find my gate for my next flight to Dallas.

I flew United Airlines UA1240 to Dallas with a flight time of 3 Hours 46 Minutes.

We began boarding at 9:45am and Departed at 10:45 am.

This was a quite a relaxing flight and manage to catch up on some sleep after the long flight from Australia.

We landed at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport at 4:30pm

My first impression was this airport in Dallas is absolutely enormous!

Once I collected my luggage I made my way outside and found the rideshare collection point.

There are about 20 zones so knowing which zone you are in definetly helps find your uber easier.

I ordered an Uber through the Uber app to make my way to my accomodation in Dallas.

Once my Uber arrived I got in and made my towards my hotel accomodation.

It took about 30 minutes to get from Dallas Fort Worth International Airport to my accommodation

The accomodation I chose was La Quinta Inn and Suites by Wyndham Dallas Addison Galleria.

After arriving at my accommodation I made my way inside and checked in at the front desk before making my way up to my room.

Once I settled into my room I unpacked and relaxed after flying all the way from Sydney to Dallas.
